Moffat has launched a range of free-standing grab & go merchandiser units. The units are available as hot and chilled, chilled, hot, and ambient models, offering a complete meal deal solution in a compact footprint.
All the models use Moffat’s innovative Free Flow AirFlow system which maintains pre-heated and pre-chilled food at regulated temperatures without it deteriorating or drying out.
The Free Flow AirFlow system uses an invisible air curtain that flows past the front of the food products to reduce the chance of the cold or warm air escaping and to maximise the efficiency of the unit. Meanwhile, the system circulates the air inside the cabinet to maintain a consistent temperature. Hot products are maintained at 65°C to 75°C when the room temperature is above 16°C, while chilled products are maintained at 2°C to 5°C when the room temperatures is 25°C.
Four models are available. These are:
- MHC1 which displays both heated and chilled food in the one slimline unit. It’s ideal for venues with limited space that want to offer a full range of convenience foods. The unit keeps sandwiches, drinks and salads perfectly chilled, while keeping hot snacks such as pasties and sausage rolls at the ideal serving temperature.
- MH1 which displays heated food such as pies, pasties, paninis and soups.
- MC1 which displays chilled food like filled rolls, dairy products, salads and drinks.
- MA1 which displays ambient products such as confectionary, biscuits, drinks and crisps.
The units are constructed from 304 and 430 grade bright polished stainless steel, with 6mm toughened glass. High-grade insulation improves temperature retention, while rear glass door options give operators easy access for re-stocking the units.
The new Grab & Go units are user friendly. They benefit from ‘plug and play’ installation with a 13amp plug fitted as standard. Mobile design, castors, front brakes and an ergonomic handle at the rear allow for easy manoeuvrability. An optional impulse purchase basket that attaches to the front of the unit for crisps and other impulse buys is available.
